“Hey, girl. You should come out for drinks tonight. It’s been too long.” Terri walked into her office just after three in the afternoon. “You and Jake start sleeping together, and you fall off the face of the planet for a month.”

“Shouldn’t you be working?” Margot asked her. Normally Terri worked the night shift, and today would be her first day on shift in their rotating cycle.

“Oh that’s right. Your head has been so far up Jake’s ass that you don’t know. I got moved to days. Finally moved up in seniority when David retired last week.” She said with a smile.

“Uh ... I’m sorry I didn’t even think about that.” She felt like a tool, because she had pretty much had her head stuck up Jake’s ass for over a week now. “I’ll make it up to you.”

“Damn right you will. By buying the drinks tonight. Maya’s already got a sitter. So you’re stuck. Time to suck it up buttercup.”

“Okay, whatever you say. What time is this all supposed to be happening?” She picked up her phone to send Jake a quick text, and saw that she had one from Jordan. Strange, she hadn’t heard from her in a few days and found herself wondering what the other woman needed.

Clicking on the message, she couldn’t help smiling at her friend.

I’m pretty sure we’re all in love with your man.
