If you drag a group of photos into your project all at once, iMovie creates automatic, varied Ken Burns effects, subtly panning and zooming in different directions for each one. Add a sweet little crossfade to all of them simultaneously (Cross Blur), and you’ve got a gorgeous slideshow. (If you’re a killjoy, you can always turn off the automatic Ken Burns feature. Choose File→Project Properties and use the Initial Photo Placement pop-up menu.)
