Boils

Boils are infected sores on the skin that are painful and may cause a fever.

Job’s friends came to visit him. Some of the things they said were comforting to him. But when they told him that God must be punishing him for being wicked, he knew they didn’t understand. He had always tried to follow God’s commandments, and now it seemed that God was not hearing his prayers. But even when he felt completely alone, Job expressed his faith in God. He said he knew that even if he were to die, someday he would be resurrected, and he would see God.

Finally, the Lord spoke to Job and showed Job His power. Job was humble and said he knew that God is great and that man doesn’t know everything that God knows.

After much suffering, Job was healed. Because of his faith, the Lord blessed him with seven more sons and three beautiful daughters and twice as much property as he had before. Job lived to see four generations of his family and died at a very old age.
