What You Can’t Do with JavaScript

JavaScript is good, but it’s not that good. JavaScript can do many things, but there’s a long list of things that it simply can’t do. Here’s a sampling of what it can’t do:

Write data permanently to an existing file. For example, you can’t take the data from a guest book and add it to a file that stores the messages.
