Author’s Note

This one was an interesting story to write—it essentially burst full-blown into my head, and I just tried to write it all down and keep up! It’s the follow-up story to Sundown, Holiday, Beacon, which introduced our superhero guys and their life together; if you’ve not read that one, it’ll tell you more about how they got to this point. Plus, I can promise some jokes about vegetables.

There might be another story for them—I have an idea or two, simmering away. Ryan’s not wrong about just how powerful Holly might be, for instance, and in the face of a threat to his partners…he might just see how far those powers can go. There’s also the story about them at the Pride parade, of course…and maybe, just maybe, the story about that wedding cake, with the Earl Grey-infused layer.
