Miles and Directions

0.0 Start at the cement post in the parking area of Hawksbill Gap.

1.5 Cross Cedar Run and climb the bank.

2.6 Second stream crossing on left. Watch for and follow blue blazes. Do not continue straight on the old road, as it enters private property.

2.8 Cement post at split in trail. Go left onto the Cedar Run Link Trail.

4.3 Cross Whiteoak Run to the cement post. Go left, now on the Whiteoak Canyon Trail.

5.2 Cement post at base of first falls. Trail swings to the right.

5.3 Walk out on rocks to the left for beautiful views of falls and pool.

5.4 Cement post. Trail becomes Whiteoak Fire Road. Go left, then right, following blue blazes for 1.6 miles.

7.0 Cement post. Turn left onto the Skyland–Big Meadows Horse Trail. From here it’s a long 0.7 mile to a short spur trail that proceeds to the right.

7.7 Arrive back at the trailhead, which completes the loop at Hawksbill Gap.
