This vacation has been everything and more. I don’t think I could have ever pictured a more perfect trip with my guys. Today is Christmas and then we only have two more days here. I wish we could live in this little bubble forever. Not that we don’t spend enough time with each other at home, it’s like being on vacation allows you to not stress and just be. It’s so nice to see my pack so happy and relaxed.

Grayson has got the most glorious tan going on. His ripped chest looks so delicious when it’s been kissed by the sun. Dean is so much less high-strung than he is at home. Out of all of us, Dean works the most, so it’s nice to just see him let go and enjoy himself, even if he does stress over the little things. Our spa day together was perfect. He was so even keeled and it also didn’t hurt that he knotted me in the sauna. While that was fun, I don’t know if I would do it again. I thought at a certain point we might die of dehydration or overheating. Or worst-case scenario, he would have to carry me out of there with his knot still deep inside of me.

Then there’s River, who is usually the most carefree of all of us on a normal day. Having him here with me is everything. Knowing that this is going to be the best Christmas both of us have ever had, it makes my heart soar. Grayson and Dean had great families. For River and me, this family—this pack—is the best thing we’ve ever known and sharing this experience with him is a Christmas gift in itself.

I bask in my Alphas’ and Beta’s scents in the soft, massive bed. The sun rising and shining on their skin and I realize that I never want this to end. I do miss my babies at home, though. I’ll be glad to see them again and it’s not like we won’t be going on a million trips with each other over the years. It’s just sometimes you know in a moment that you are living in a core memory and this feels like that. This feels like something I want to soak up and never forget. I take a mental note to take more pictures today so I can always remember this trip.

Plus, I will need to show off the pictures at Kelsey’s annual New Year’s party, anyway. River wakes up first, his brown eyes blinking and his hand grips my hip tightly.

“Merry Christmas, angel,” he whispers before leaning down and placing a gentle kiss on my lips. Besides the tattoo, I did get them something else. We decided not to go crazy on gifts, more heartfelt than anything. Well, I guess besides this exorbitantly expensive vacation. My cheeks heat when I think about how much Grayson probably spent.

“Merry Christmas. Are we just staying cozy in the suite today?” I ask. No one mentioned
