The should_get_item_using_pagination test case uses the InlineData attribute to test some pagination routes. It calls the Get action method, serializes the result into a PaginatedItemsResponseModel<ItemResponse>, and, finally, it checks the results.

Although the pagination implementation technique examined in this chapter provides some performance benefits, it doesn't limit the interaction between our service and the database. To extend the performance benefits to the data source of the service as well, we should consider implementing an ad-hoc query to paginate data directly from our data source.

In the next section, we will continue our journey by extending the APIs in order to also handle related entities. For now, notice that we are exposing the information of the Item, Artist, and Genre entities, without managing the related entities and we are not exposing any route to edit the Artist and Genre entities.
