“Are you done?” Gabe asks, and I hand him my bowl.

“Thank you. That was delicious.” It really was, and it was just what I needed, too.

He puts both bowls on the table and moves closer, leaning in. “Speaking of delicious…” he whispers, nipping at my bottom lip. He did this earlier, and just like then, it sends shockwaves around my body. I arch my back into him and he puts his arms around me, holding me close to his chest. A throaty, rumbling groan leaves his lips, reverberating into mine as our tongues clash and he rolls us somehow, so we’re lying side by side along the length of the couch.

I can feel his arousal pressing into me again and I take a chance, flexing my hips, to let him know I like it.

I like his kisses, too, and everything else he’s doing to me, as he puts his hand on my ass, pulling me closer and turning us, so I’m on my back, and he’s on top of me.

I part my legs, creating a space for him to lie in, although he breaks the kiss, leaning up and looking down at me.

“Is your ankle okay?”

“I’d forgotten all about it.”

He smiles. “Then maybe I should keep kissing you.”

He dips his head, putting his words into actions, and I raise my arms, my hands drifting up to his shoulders, then clasping behind his neck. I’m struggling to breathe again, unable to believe anything could feel this good. To think, he’s refused to come inside the house all week because he wanted more than kisses, and yet, here we are…

I lean back, and he tilts his head. “Is something wrong?”

“No. I just wondered… do you still want more?”

“If only you knew how much I wanna fu—” He smiles, looking a little sheepish, and I can’t help the gasp that leaves my lips, as he lowers himself to his elbows, his lips almost touching mine. “We can go at your pace, baby.”

“The thing is, I don’t know what my pace is.”

He chuckles. “We’ll work it out.”

“How? Obviously you’ve done all this before, but…” He closes the gap between us, silencing me with a kiss, his tongue darting into my mouth, lingering there for a while before he pulls back again. I lower my arms slightly, letting my hands rest on his biceps and feel his muscles flex through his shirtsleeves. “Can I ask a question?”

“You can ask anything you want.”

“Okay.” I stare up at him. “Without going into details, have there been many women? Before me, I mean?”

“Yes.” I suck in a breath, surprised by his honesty. “Does that bother you?” he asks.

“A little. I don’t know how I feel about you having had so many girlfriends.”

“Who said anything about girlfriends?”

“You did. You just said…”

“I said there had been other women. I didn’t say I’d ever thought of any of them as my girlfriend.”

“Seriously?”

“Absolutely. This is the first time I’ve considered myself to be someone’s boyfriend, too.”

“But you went out with lots of women?”

“Yes.
