Keyword Details Reports

One of the handiest features in an AdWords account, labeled “Keyword Details,” is found under the Keywords roll-up tab. It’s useful because it identifies the search query — the actual words typed into Google by the searcher — that resulted in an ad click. Unfortunately, the report does not identify search queries that result in impressions without clicks, but it’s still a great place to start optimizing a keyword list.

Use this report to find out if the search queries make sense. Let’s say you sell high-end event supplies, using keywords like:

dome tent

canopies

banquet tables
