Poet Hawil Bufraj al-Ghaithi composed a reply poem from his exile in Egypt:

Oh Buhwaish, the East became a prison in Agaila

And what happened to you

Also happened to us.

Poet Haiba Bumariyam al-Maghribi replied in a poem:

I am not ill except I know your pains,

The weakness of your arms,

and your inability to walk.
