As soon as the conversation with Julie ended, I had to get myself in gear to get ready for the party. The morning disappeared into my leisurely routine and Julieâs phone call. Blake planned to pick me up at 11:30. The engagement party was kicking off with a luncheon, and a backyard reception with a band would follow.
When we first met, Blake was curious whether ducks could dance. I wondered what it would be like when the two of us danced together. I knew that he had some kind of fascination with disco music, but that didnât necessarily mean dancing to it.
I looked forward to the event, particularly after the call with Julie. If I didnât have anything else to do, I knew that I might spend the afternoon brooding over my relationship, or lack of one, with Mom and Dad. A happy party was guaranteed to take my mind off that.
Looking at my watch, I said, âDamn, itâs later than I thought. Twenty minutes! This is going to be a race to the finish line.â
I nearly tripped over Tyrone on my way to the stairs to the second floor of my little bungalow. Fortunately, we successfully disentangled ourselves and were both safe, and he caught the hint that he needed to stay out of my way.
When I was in a hurry, I had a habit of talking to myself. âYou know you should have chosen the clothes and laid them out on a chair last night. Now, you have to make the decision when youâre stressed and in a hurry.â
Blake did tell me that the event was casual. He suggested jeans and a button-up shirt, but which one? I had a closet full of them. The minutes ticked away while I pushed shirts back and forth along the rod.
Finally, settling on a conservative red and blue plaid with a khaki-colored sports jacket on top, I tore off my shorts and headed for the shower.
With the warm water raining down over my head, it was impossible not to think about Blake and what I might find the first time I saw his naked body. He was slim and didnât have the body of an ex-athlete like me. Fortunately, I thought that was perfect. I didnât want to see the kind of body that was splashed across movies, TV, and advertising every day.
It didnât take long for my thoughts to drift away from focusing on preparations for the party. I leaned back against the back wall of the shower letting the rain fall over my shoulder. My hands found their way south, and soon I was slowly stroking reveling in the soaped up silky feeling of my cock as it grew hard beneath my fingers.
Fortunately, somebody had their eye on the clock. At the moment that I started to edge, I heard a sound halfway between a meow and a yowl outside the shower door. It was Tyrone, and I remembered that I promised to feed him before leaving for the party.
