eight Canon de 380mm/45 Modèle 1935 guns in two quadruple turrets (380mm/ 45 gun had a range at 35 degrees elevation of 41,700m, could penetrate 393mm of side armour at 22,000m with a 884kg armour-piercing shell and had an elevation range of -5 to 35 degrees; 104 rounds were carried per gun and 1–2 rounds could be fired per minute); nine Canon de 152mm/55 Modèle 1930 dual-purpose secondary guns in three triple turrets (152mm/55 gun had a range at 45 degrees elevation of 24,200m firing a 47kg anti-aircraft shell and had an elevation range of -6.5 to 75 degrees in a dual-purpose turret; 400 rounds were carried per gun and five rounds could be fired per minute); 12 Canon de 100mm/45 Modèle 1930 anti-aircraft guns in six Model 1931 double turrets (100mm/45 gun had a range at 45 degrees elevation of 15,900m with a 13.5kg shell and had an elevation range of -10 to 80 degrees; 400 rounds were carried per gun and ten rounds could be fired per minute); eight Canon de 37mm/50 CAIL Modèle 1933 anti-aircraft guns in four twin CAD Mle 1933 mountings (similar characteristics to the 37mm/50 Modèle 1925 guns of the Dunkerque class); 20 mitrailleuse Hotchkiss de 13.2mm modèle 1929 machine guns in four quadruple and two twin anti-aircraft mounts
