This is my second chance

âDude, where were you this weekend?â Trey is perched in the chair in front of my desk. âWe missed you at Porterâs. Onyx Stone played again, and I swear they have some of the hottest groupies.â
âIt was pretty entertaining to watch each and every woman shoot you down too,â Seth quips as he shoves Treyâs shoulder. âIt was hilarious when you were talking to one woman and then her boyfriend appeared.â
âShe was totally flirting back with me. Touching my forearm. Giggling. Then a big, burly guy tapped me on the shoulder and put his arm around the girl. Trey shrugs half-heartedly and leans back in his chair, placing his ankle on his knee.
âWith the look he gave you, Iâm surprised he didnât punch you in the face,â Seth says.
âMe too. This face is too pretty for a broken nose.â Trey motions around his face. âBut if he was your size. I couldâve taken him.â He looks over to Seth.
Seth sits up straighter, offended. âWhatever. I could take you.â
âCome on, have you ever been in a fight?â Trey asks.
Seth looks down to the floor. âWell⦠no.â
âSee, my point exactly.â Trey playfully nudges Sethâs arm. âSo anyway, this guy was older, full beard, and tattoos. I bet he was her sugar daddy or perhaps just a daddy.â
Shaking my head, I bark out a laugh. âDamn, I canât believe I missed that. That kind of shit only happens to you.â
With a smirk on his face, Trey shrugs as if this is just an everyday occurrence in his world.
âMark was out of town for the weekend for work and Lianaâs washing machine broke and according to Liana when you have two kids you canât have a non-working washing machine.â I give a half smile. Iâll always be there for my sister, whatever she needs. âSo, my weekend was spent at her place.â
âNext time. That band killed it. Theyâll be playing again,â Trey says. He points his thump towards Seth like a hitchhiker. âI may have struck out, but this guy got some dirty bar bathroom action. All I saw was a tall red head practically dragging him down the hallway toward the bathrooms. So, Casanova, who was the girl?â
A tinge of pink covers his cheeks as Seth adjusts his black rim glasses. âA gentleman doesnât kiss and tell.â
âBullshit,â Trey blurts out. âYouâre no gentleman. Iâve heard the stories. Like that one time in college.â
We all bust out laughing knowing exactly what time Trey is referring to. Sethâs freshman year of college he lived in the dorms. A drunken night after finals, Seth brought home a girl and either forgot or didnât give a fuck as they climbed onto the top bunk to do some not so gentlemanly things. The kicker was his roommate was asleep in the bottom bunk and the gentle rocking did not lull him to sleep. And Iâm sure the screams of âOh, yes!â âFuck me harderâ and âYour cock is so bigâ didnât help either. Needless to say, Seth found himself with his own room for the rest of the semester.
