After dinner, Alexi poured vodka for everyone to soften the mood. Vladimir’s face showed frustration from missing his chance to complete the mission. Tension permeated the team.

“Bitch was lucky, but her wound will slow her down. She and boy will not get far on foot.” Vladimir swirled the vodka in his glass. “Maybe SAS shot her.”

“If not, we will find them early in morning.” Dmitri lit a cigarette.

“We will shoot them and send their bodies to bottom of North Sea.” Alexi raised his glass to Vladimir in a show of support.

“I will snap their spines and carve them up for fish food.” Nicolai drained his glass.

“Da, kill them fast, collect million dollars, and return to Moscow.” Vladimir downed his drink.

“We must return soon and kill older males in bloodlines.” Alexi finished his vodka.

“So let Bear have fun now and save bullets for later.” Dmitri tilted his head back and blew a smoke ring. He missed the sinister look in Nicolai’s shark-like eyes.

“We will find them soon with helicopter.” Vladimir glanced at Nicolai. “If you have chance, kill them with your hands. Otherwise, shoot them and be done with it.” He poured another round of drinks. “We start a few hours before dawn.”
