WE ALL HELPED clean up, which wasn’t typical. Kestrel had this complicated revolving schedule about meals. Everyone was supposed to have a day where we cooked and a day where we cleaned up. So, between the three of us, the way this was supposed to work was two days on (one cooking, one cleaning) and one day off. But Paladin was shit at ever remembering which day was his, so Kestrel and I ended up doubling up a lot, or sometimes Paladin would go on a streak of three days in a row doing all the cooking and cleaning up, but then he’d get distracted and forget dinner the third day, and then the schedule was all messed up, which would make Kestrel have a damned meltdown, and…

If we put Clementine on the schedule, it might make things easier, I thought, but we could discuss all that later, too.

Last night, I’d steered clear, all of the shit with Kestrel too close to the surface. I wanted her last night, but I felt guilty about it, and so I’d just gone off alone.

Tonight, I still wanted her, and I still felt guilty, but the guilt was just a touch less—or maybe I wanted her just a touch more? Whatever the case, I started kissing her while we were washing up the last of the dishes.

She was at the sink, scrubbing spoons and depositing them in the dish drainer, and I came up behind her and started kissing her neck.

She moaned into it, letting me press into her backside, letting me run my hands over her hips.

Her hands faltered on the spoons, and I whispered to her that she better keep at the washing, there, that if she wanted to stay here, she would have to earn her keep.

She laughed, going back to scrubbing. “I see how it is. Now that you have a woman around to do all the domestic tasks, I can be your Cinderella, and you guys can watch football and get beer bellies while I wait on you hand and foot.”

“That’s it exactly,” I said, reaching up to cup one of her breasts. “Yes, you’re here for domestic servitude. Glad we understand each other.”

She gasped as I began to toy with her nipple through her shirt.

Paladin came over from wiping down the table and tossed the rag into the sink. “Look at you two,” he said, voice coy. “You look nice together. You think that, Kestrel?”

Kestrel was scrubbing down the stove. He didn’t look up from the dried-on splatters he was working at. “I mean, she looks good on your dicks, yeah, if that’s what you mean.”

“You want to be on my dick, Clementine?” I said into her ear, my voice low. I started to peel down the jogging pants she was wearing. She didn’t have anything on underneath them.

She gasped. “Oh, shit, right here?”

“Keep washing the dishes,” said Paladin casually, reaching into his own pants to stroke himself.

I bared her and I undid my zipper. Fuck, I was hard for her, so fucking hard.
