"Thus you will know them by their fruits" (Matt 7:16, 20).

God knows us in all our depths; he is aware of our least desire, the least impulse of our hearts, and the least movement of our will. But others see only what we show on the outside. That is why our actions and words and even our bearing must be the harmonious and truthful expression of our interior depths. Others will judge our depths, or, what is more important, God will judge them on the basis of the fruits he produces in us and the works he inspires us to do.
