Some may say that kid-friendly joints don’t belong in a romantic getaway; but on the other hand, it’s important for the generations to mix so that the kids can learn how to coexist. Snowy Peaks Winery is a Governor’s Cup Wine Competition finalist, but they’re not snobs about it. In fact, their inviting winery and intimate vertical tasting room is welcoming to all. It’s often filled with live music. They even have free juice tastings for the kids, with a special outdoor “No Wine-ing” zone for them to play while the grownups enjoy their wine. The vintners will often give you a tour if you just ask. They sell meat, cheese, chocolate, and other delicacies from other family-run Colorado businesses. And lastly, they’re dedicated to supporting community nonprofits in Estes and beyond. There’s no reason not to support such a well-rounded establishment.
