Ingredients:

• 1 lb flank steak, thinly sliced

• 3 tablespoons vegetable oil

• 2 cloves garlic, minced

• 1 teaspoon ginger, grated

• 1 red bell pepper, thinly sliced

• 1/4 cup soy sauce

• 2 tablespoons black vinegar or balsamic vinegar

• 2 tablespoons honey

• 1 tablespoon Szechuan peppercorns

• 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes

• Salt and pepper, to taste

• Cooked rice, for serving

Preparation:

In a small bowl, mix together soy sauce, vinegar, honey, Szechuan peppercorns, and red pepper flakes. Set aside.

In a large pan or wok, heat vegetable oil over high heat. Add in sliced flank steak and cook for 3-4 minutes, until browned. Remove from pan and set aside.

In the same pan, add in garlic and ginger. Cook for 1-2 minutes, until fragrant.

Add the sliced bell pepper and cook for an additional 2-3 minutes.

Pour in the sauce mixture and bring to a boil, then reduce heat to low.

Return the beef to the pan and toss until coated with the sauce. Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes.

Season with salt and pepper, to taste.

Serve over cooked rice and enjoy!
