Hawaiian Baked Beans

½ cup brown sugar

1 lb. bacon, cut in pieces

1 family-sized can of baked beans with molasses

1 tablespoon dry mustard

4 (16 ounce) cans of pineapple chunks, drained (juice reserved)

Mix all ingredients with ½ cup of juice from pineapple in Dutch oven. Add more juice as needed. Arrange coals with 7 on top and 5 under. Check occasionally to make sure beans are cooking evenly. #Delish!

Hen Gems

¼ cup oil

1 can water

2 cans chicken broth

Carrots, chunked

Cornish game hens (as many as needed)

Onion, sliced and separated into rings

Potatoes, chunked

Salt/pepper/favorite seasonings

Put a small amount of oil into the Dutch oven. Coat hens in oil also. Season and brown hens on both slices and add onion rings. Brown lightly, then carefully add the 2 cans of broth and a can of water. Add the potatoes (quartered & peeled) and carrots (peeled and cut thick). Cover and cook for 20 minutes; check often. The hens will cook fast and make a nice gravy, so only 30 minutes or so are necessary. #Delish!
