In the chapter, “Drupal Fields Explained” we showed you how to re-use fields. Use that technique to re-use this field to add ratings to articles, blog entries, book pages and events.

Creating a Form

Almost everyone needs to allow their visitors to contact them easily. The Webform module is a really convenient way to collect information from your visitors. You can use Webform to create a contact form, registration forms, survey forms and more.

For our Drupalville site, we’re going to create a contact form.

Go to http://drupal.org/project/webform and install the module.

You will also need the Views module: http://drupal.org/project/views.

Enable both new modules.

Click on “Add content”, then “Webform”.

Title: Contact Us

Menu Settings: Check the “Provide a menu link” box.

Click “Save”.

You’ll now see the Webform interface. This is where you can build your form. This is similar to the process we used to add fields, although Webform is simpler and more limited than Drupal’s fields.
