Figure 10-23. The options in the Visual Aids menu help you visualize HTML Layouts in Design view. For example, the CSS Layout Backgrounds option lights up each <div> tag on a page with a hideous, randomly selected background color. It also highlights any element whose display property you set to “block” (Width and height), or that uses either absolute or relative positioning.

Note

If one AP element overlaps another, the top AP element—the one with the higher Z-Index, as described in Width and height—has a solid outline; the lower element’s outline appears dashed where the top AP element overlaps it.
