So Zach is in. Part of the brand-new pregnancy club. It would be funny if it wasn’t so sad. Here’s how it happened:

I called him after dinner—mostly to confirm his secrecy—but he did more than that. He offered to help. At first, I couldn’t see that we needed any help. But after about five minutes really thinking about all that a pregnancy entails, I realized we needed all the help we could get.

“In the end, the choices are all Melissa’s,” he said. “But whatever she wants, we could help her get.”

No one in his or her right mind would want to get involved in this. So that means Zach Miller is either very, very crazy, or very, very bored. You would think if he needed a hobby he’d take up basket weaving. Kids these days.
