7.1.5 Assign the logical system and queue type

Through this configuration we assign logical systems, pertaining to our business scenario, to a business system group and assign a queue type to the business system group as shown in Figure 7.5. We will also assign an error handling type to logical systems as shown in Figure 7.5.

The data that is transferred to the target system gets temporarily stored in queues. The queue types are either inbound queues or outbound queues.

Setting queue type as inbound

It is best practice to have the queue type set as an inbound type as it can facilitate large volumes of data transfer to the ERP system with an even load on the ERP system.
