I imagine I am thirty years old,

or fourty,

or fifty,

and I am at the grocery store,

or the bank,

or the dentist,

when I see you and it’s like I’m fifteen again,

or whatever age I am now,

or then,

and my heart will speed up,

or my hands will feel heavy,

or too light,

lost in this store

or bank

or McDonalds

like I get lost in your eyes,

or your smile,

or your laugh,

and it will have been years,

and years,

and years,

and you will not know me

or care about me,

or even see me,

but I will still smile like I did,

or do,

and will.

I can’t imagine not liking you,

or loving you,

or whatever this is,

and I don’t really want to.
