It surprises me that I like having her with me so much. I’ve never hung out with a girl like this, but having her be the last person I see before I go to sleep every night and the first person I see in the morning—I’m definitely not complaining. Aside from the wicked case of blue balls that just may be the death of me. Considering we’re getting married at the end of the year, I feel relieved that I like having her with me. That’s not always the case when your parents choose your spouse for you. And I know the sex will come, but making out with a girl who you’re chronically hard around every night, is not doing my dick any favors. I’m enjoying taking my time with her, despite being in a constant state of discomfort.

I take my second cold shower for the day and wrap a towel around my waist. Kathryn is studying out in the living room with Melody because I don’t feel comfortable with them going to the library on their own. They aren’t happy about it, but she hasn’t been fighting me too hard after what happened.

My father had a call with Dean Warner who claimed they were looking into the events that took place; however, he said that there are two sides to every story.

What that means is that Judd’s dad is a big donor of Kings Passage and they don’t want to rock the boat.

But my dad is a donor as well, and as the king of Farrow, no one wants to get on the wrong side of him. He won’t let that asshole get away with violating girls.

Judd smirks at me every time we pass in the hall like he got away with something. I want to kill him when I catch him watching Kathryn from across the dining hall. My father reminds me that being a great leader means remaining calm and waiting for the right time to strike. That’s what I’m doing now. I’m taking notes and preparing to take that fucker down. I want to ask Titus what he knows about what happened, but the dude has been MIA since he warned me about Judd. Apparently he’s sick and he’s been stuck in his room. I’ve stopped by a few times and Victros says he’s locked in his room and doesn’t want to get anyone else sick.

I will get to the bottom of this shit eventually. My gut tells me there’s more to the story, and trusting my gut has always served me well.

I hear Melody leaving and I feel the anticipation of having the place to myself with Kathryn.

The door opens and Kathryn walks in. Her hungry gaze moves across my stomach and chest before she catches herself and meets my eyes.

“Hey,” she says, her voice comes out a little more gruff than usual.

“Hi. Did you get everything done?” I ask, and I drop my towel which catches her off guard. Every night and every morning she goes into the bathroom and gets dressed.
