Sharing a Local Printer with Other Computers on the LAN

To share a printer attached to a workstation, open the Control Panel and open the Devices and Printers applet. Right-click the icon for the printer you want to share and select Printer properties. Click the Sharing tab and select the Share this printer check box. In the Share name box, type the name that will appear to other users on the LAN and click OK. See Figure 10-28.
