There are three ways Inertials most commonly manage their fear of failure. The first way is avoidance; they do not engage in an activity if they believe that they will fail. Inertials believe that if they donât engage in an activity, then they are safe from failure. Injury, illness, damaged equipment, forgotten or lost materials, or just plain refusal to participate are common ways in which Inertials can avoid engaging in an activity in which they fear failure. Unfortunately, sometimes not engaging in an activity results in consequences similar to failure.
