Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

Brown beef in a large roaster in the oven, stirring often. This saves all the mess of browning on the top of the stove.

Drain off the fat; add rest of ingredients. Mix well and return to oven so flavors blend. Bake at least 1/2 hour more. This recipe is easily doubled for a large crowd.

3 pounds boneless beef chuck roast

2 tablespoons cooking oil

1 teaspoon seasoned salt

1/2 teaspoon pepper

3/4 cup apple juice

1 tablespoon flour

1 cup ketchup

2 tablespoons vinegar

4 tablespoons brown sugar

1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce

1 teaspoon dry mustard

1 teaspoon celery salt

1 teaspoon paprika

1/2 cup chopped onion

8 sourdough rolls
