I was naked in the front seat of a sheriff’s vehicle. I’d never felt more alive.

But then Jace unbuckled his jeans and pushed those and his underwear down. All thought vanished. I wondered if he was going to remove his shoes and the jeans and put the shoes back on, but he answered that question by gesturing for me to come toward him.
