Not far beyond the table, farther into the clearing, you notice a large tree stump. There are symbols carved into its bark. A silver hammer is laid out on the stump’s flat surface. Broken pieces of shattered porcelain are scattered about, both on the stump and the surrounding grass. This appears to be some sort of ceremonial place. You suddenly feel nervous, a strange tightening in your throat, and decide to leave. You look for the gate and the path out of the clearing, but all you see is dark forest. You are able to focus only on the great table, which draws you to it. There, the glow from the candle flames reveal words written boldly in black marker upon the plates. You approach the plate closest to you and read it:
