From the parking area on Fog Hill Road, the north edge of Beebe Hill State Forest has poorly marked trails that lead to No Bottom Pond, a small, shallow body of water with unusual hydrology that probably connects to caves in the area. In dry years, the pond is reported to shrink dramatically, a situation that might support good shorebird habitat. Be aware that part of the shoreline is privately owned, so it is important to stay on the trail. Even if the water is high, the pond is worth a visit. The easternmost and easiest trail crosses a stream and passes by several small marshes with good birding potential.

The shortest and easiest route up Harvey Mountain begins on the east side of East Hill Access Road, 1.2 miles south of its junction with East Hill Road at the parking lot. The trail begins at a gate as an ATV road and continues 0.7 mile to a large blueberry bald on the summit. In fall, blueberries, bear scat, Eastern Towhee, and Dark-eyed Junco are abundant. The open habitat and 360-degree view makes this a good place to see raptors during migration, and Broad-winged Hawk nests in the nearby forest. Following the trail another 0.1 mile east brings you to a small concrete block marking the border between New York and Massachusetts. This quick hike to the summit can be turned into a longer loop hike through forest by following the red trail north where the blue trail leads back to the parking area on East Hill Road, and then hiking the lightly traveled dirt access road back to the parking area near the gate.
