You can set the k argument to any integer value you like, but it must not be zero or larger than the number of elements in the given set of numbers.

Maximum (MAX)

Syntax: MAX(x1; x2; … x30)

The MAX function can take up to 30 arguments, which can be ranges of cells, and returns the maximum value found in the given set. For example:

=MAX(B138; C138; D138; B140; C140; D140, B142; C142; D142)

results in 100.
