Kale climbed into the bath first and guided me in. Wrapping his arms around me, he kissed every single bruise. He gave me a towel and put it behind my head. I lay my head back and closed my eyes. I wasn't ready for this, but I needed to be ready for another change. I needed to be what he needed me to be. I needed to be what I needed to be. I couldn't let this trauma take over me.

The bath felt as if it were washing away the realistic nightmare. I knew within my soul it wasn’t a nightmare. I knew it was real and there was nothing I could do to erase it, but washing the acts off of me would definitely help me dissociate.

The hot water soothed my aching legs and back. I couldn’t believe how many bruises I had on me. Would Kale hurt me like they did? Could Kale understand how to handle me? I didn’t even know how to handle myself.

Every time Kale went to touch me, I flinched. I wanted that to stop. I felt like he was going to attack me since I was vulnerable and ready to just forget. Would he give me worse memories?

“If you’re thinking something or something is on your mind, I want you to tell me. I can’t help you if we don’t communicate.” He whispered.

“I’m trying to clear my head and allow you to create the thoughts, but my brain keeps going the wrong way,” I admitted.

“Let me take control. You relax and go to a happy place. Dance with goddesses if that’s what you have to do. Let go of the pain and let me have control.” Kale said and it made the most sense.

He massaged my feet as I lay my head back on the towel. Another mind-blowing massage that would make things better. His hands on my body were comparable to a healer placing a healing spell on me. With every touch he made my body relax. With every word, I was able to let go more and more.
