After the three Kings of Rock-and-Roll scraped every last drop from the bottom of Dad’s ice cream carton, and even licked the lid clean, everyone finally settled down for the night.

I wasn’t sure who was more miserable, though—Dad, who was now completely out of his Nutty Buddy Chocolate Swirl, or me, having to sleep on the bumpy, lumpy sofa.

I tossed and turned, punching my pillow a million-kajillion times, listening to the ticktock of the clock, the humming of the refrigerator, and the farting of the Elvises.

Frrrt. FRT. FRR-RRT!

I covered my head with my pillow, but when I lifted it off, they were still at it. And one of them was farting in another language.

Frrt-z. FRT-Z. FRRRT-Z!

I sat up straight, remembering Bo-Bo. Poor Bo-Bo, stuck in there with those three bedroom stinker-uppers! So I tiptoed down the dark hallway and tapped on my door.

No answer. They probably couldn’t hear me with all the noise they were making.

I tapped a little louder and whispered, “Pssst. Uncle Claude? I need something from my room.”

The door opened an inch. “No more autographs, please.”

“I don’t want your autograph.”

“You want an official fan club ID card? Hold on a second.”

“I don’t want an official fan club ID card. I just want my teddy bear. He’s on my dresser. Can you get him?”

The door closed.

I could hear the three of them whispering and laughing. Then the door opened.

“Here.” He shoved Bo-Bo into my arms.

“Thanks,” I said and headed back down the dark hallway to the living room.

I settled onto the sofa, holding Bo-Bo under my chin, but my fingers felt something strange. Something fuzzy.

I sat up and clicked on the light.

Bo-Bo Stinker Pot had two furry, fake sideburns stuck on his chest.

I sighed. This was going to be a looooong night.
