Now, we see how many students have passed / failed subject-wise as well as on an overall basis:

We repeat the same process for pass / fail result for total marks, and the criteria remains the same (< 40% marks mean Fail, else Pass).

Now, we come to pivot-based analysis:

As it can be seen, pass percentage on the basis of total marks is 16.8% only. 84 students passed the exam out of a total 500 who appeared.

The average percentage secured by the 500 students lies at 51.4%, as can be seen in the 2 snap-shots below:
