Measure a length of paracord that is about a foot long per inch of bracelet length and remove the inner strands.

Center the cord under the end knot, then begin the cobra knot.

Before you go too far down, pull the knot up so that there is room for it to move.

Keep knotting until you reach the end, making sure the last knots are up against the overhand knot.

Clean up the ends, and you are done.

CHAPTER 4

THE WATCH BAND

When I was in college, my old time companion, a citizen titanium dive watch which I had worn for over five years, finally died. With it dead, I had to find a way to not miss all my classes, so I popped down to WallyWorld and picked up a cheap watch for five bucks.

Within a week, the band broke. Now I had two useless watches. At least the actual watch part of the cheap watch worked, but it had no band. Rather than take it back or get another one, I had an idea. Within a few minutes, I had a stylish paracord watch that was the envy of the floor.

Come to think of it, I think it got stolen that semester. Oh well, I have a better watch now. It cost $9.50.
