Avocados on the Half Shell

They don’t grow too many oysters where I come from. Usually the only things running around here on the half shell are armadillos. But armadillos are hard to clean, so the easier alternative is avocados, which come with their own built-in bowl. Fill up those suckers with some spicy meat and cheese, and you don’t have to take a trip to the coast. You can also serve two halves per person and make this a main course.
½ pound ground beef
½ teaspoon ground cumin
Salt and black pepper
2 medium jalapeños, finely diced
2 green onions, finely diced
2 teaspoons Worcestershire sauce
4 avocados, halved and pitted (leave the skin on)
Juice of 1 lime
Coarse sea salt
½ to 1 cup shredded pepper jack cheese
