If a marriage/cp has been short lived, the parties to it are young and there are no children involved then the courts would almost certainly want to see a clean break.
The one-third rule
In general, if a clean break from marriage/cp is not ordered, then the court calculates on the basis of the "one third" rule. Using this formula the wife gets one third of the combined income-exclusive of maintenance for the children. This is not a rigid rule but the basis for starting calculations in each case.
