Chapter 11
A few minutes after the plane landed in Oswington, Clement grabbed Kyleâs hand and intertwined their fingers together as they stood next to the bed in the upper deck. The two of them didnât get to chat with each other over the course of the flight because Kyle ended up sleeping soundly for the entire journey. Not that Clement minded at all. He had spent the entire trip hugging his handsome boyfriend from behind on the bed. He had felt even more gratified and blissful when Kyle seemed to naturally scoot back toward him in his boyfriendâs sleeping state. Kyle had appeared so relaxed while asleep. Now Clement noticed the tension around Kyleâs eyes as they made their way toward the door.
âNervous?â
Kyle let out a short chuckle and nodded. âYeah. Very.â
âThere wonât be any paparazzi greeting us, and the palace car is already waiting for us. We will simply get off the plane and climb into the car before heading back to the palace.â
âNot helping,â Kyle mumbled out softly when the two of them finally reached the lower deck.
Clement smiled at Kyleâs parents, who did the same in return. Then he gestured for Gordon to lead Kyleâs parents toward the cabin door. He and Kyle needed a little bit of privacy. Once the two of them were alone at the bottom of the stairs, he cupped Kyleâs cheeks with his palms.
âBaby, look at me,â Clement instructed gently. He grinned when Kyle obliged almost immediately. âMy family will love you because youâre one of the sweetest people in the world and Iâm crazy in love with you.â
Kyle snickered. âIâm madly in love with you, too.â
Clement beamed at Kyle. âEverything is going to be okay. I canât promise Iâll be with you every second of the day throughout your visit in Oswington, but Iâll make time as much as I can.â
Kyle nodded slowly as he exhaled. âYeah. Donât worry about me. Iâll be fine.â
âGreat,â Clement said before offering his hand to Kyle, who held on tightly in the next instant. âLetâs go, babe.â
As promised, he and Kyle were able to disembark from the private jet without any flashing lights from cameras. It took less than ten steps for them to reach the car. Once they were inside, it sped off, heading toward the private entryway that would lead straight to the road.
âWhere are my parents and Gordon? What about the bodyguards?â
Clement gave Kyle a tender peck on the forehead and slung his arm over his boyfriendâs shoulders. Then he tugged Kyle much closer toward him as they relaxed against each other.
âThis car is for my private use. Your parents and Gordon are in the car right behind us. The bodyguards are divided into four separate cars. Two of them are in front of us and the others are on either side of us.â
âOh, okay. Am I allowed to ride with you? I didnât think to ask you that earlier. I donât know much about the protocols.â
Clement shrugged. âStrictly speaking, no.â
âI see. Should we stop the car? I can ride in the car with myââ
âYouâll do no such thing.
