Polish Style Lasagna
This is a lasagna dish that you are just going to drool over. It is packed full of creamy potatoes, cream cheese and pasta, making this a dish you will love if you want to experience the rich taste of Italian cuisine.
Makes: 6 Servings
Total Prep Time: 40 Minutes
Ingredients:
9 Lasagna Noodles, Uncooked
1 Onion, Large in Size and Finely Sliced
½ Cup of Butter, Soft and Melted
2 2/3 Cups of Potato Flakes, Dried
1 Pack of Cream Cheese, Soft
Directions:
1. The first thing that you will want to do is preheat your oven to 350 degrees. While your oven is heating up generously grease a medium sized baking dish with a generous amount of cooking spray.
2. Then bring a large sized pot of water to a boil, making sure that you season it with some salt. Once the water is boiling add in your lasagna noodles and cook until they are tender to the touch. Once tender drain and set flat to dry.
3. Next use a large sized skillet and add in your butter. Heat over medium heat and once your butter melts add in your onions. Cook for the next 5 minutes. Remove from heat.
4. Using a medium sized bowl add in your dried mashed potato flakes, the ingredients on the package except for your milk and soft cream cheese. Stir until evenly mixed together.
5. Layer at least 3 lasagna noodles into the bottom of your generously greased baking dish. Spoon in your potato mixture over your noodles. Repeat your layers until your ingredients have been used up. Finish off by topping with your sautéed onions.
6. Place into your oven to bake for the next 20 minutes or until your lasagna is bubbling. Remove from oven and allow to cool for at least 10 minutes before you serve. Enjoy!
