âYou seem nervous.â
âI am. Iâm worried that I will mess up at the club. I donât want to disappoint you with your friend.â I fidgeted in my seat in the limo beside Max.
After all he had done for me today, I wanted to please him, make him proud that I was on his arm. The shopping excursion had been the stuff of dreams. When Iâd tried to stop him, he had insisted. The man had bought me everything that wasnât nailed down in a few of the clothing stores. He had even bought luggage to store and transport the items back to the manor in the morning.
âPrue, look at me,â he said with patience in his tone.
I raised my gaze.
âWeâve been over this already. All you have to remember is to address me as Sir or Master, whichever is easier for you to recall. The cuffs and collar mark you as my claimed submissive. If any Dom approaches you, just defer them to me, but if we happen to become separated, you address the Doms as Sir. But Iâm not going to let you out of my sight while we are there, so that wonât be something for you to worry about. Iâm not going to make you do a scene with me unless you decide you would like to try one.â
âI get that. But I hate not knowing what to expect. Itâs an issue from my childhood that has carried over that I canât seem to eliminate. Things were always so tumultuous with the turnover of kids that I grew to need stability. Itâs why I tend to plan things out the way I do.â
He lifted my hand and pressed his mouth against the knuckles. âYouâll do fine, babe. I have every confidence in you. And you know that Iâm not going anywhere. Iâm not going to leave you here alone. In fact, in a few short hours, I plan to take you back to the hotel and make love to you for the rest of the night.â
Heat curled in my center at his seductive words. âPromise?â
âOne hundred percent,â he said as the door opened and thumping bass music from the club spilled inside the limo.
Max helped me out of the vehicle, thank goodness, considering the sparkly skyscraper heels strapped to my feet. The club, Eternal Eros, was housed in an old, historic building with neoclassical lines of the nineteenth century. A line of club goers stood around the block in the frigid temperatures.
Max spoke discreetly to the bouncer standing guard at the door. We breezed on into the popular club without having to wait in the cold. Thank God! The little black sheath dress Max had chosen for me to wear tonight was not built for cold temperatures. The sleek, satin number hugged my curves and ended mid-thigh, leaving my legs bare to the elements. And heâd had me leave my coat at home, assuring me I would not be in the elements long.
Once inside, we ascended a wide flight of stone stairs and entered the club proper.
