CHAPTER 15

TIA

Isighed into his mouth as Leo took my lips in a deep, wet, hard kiss that made my toes curl.

I kissed him back just as hard, pouring into it everything I couldn’t put into words. The kiss spoke of my longing for him, of how he had wound himself into the very fabric of my life. It spoke of how I was consumed by this insane need to be one with him, to take him into my body and never let go.

Leo undid the knot on my robe and pushed it off my shoulders. He bit the skin at the point where my neck met my shoulder and sucked hard enough to leave a mark. He nibbled his way down to my breast and pulled my top down to expose it. I smiled at him when he squeezed hard and bent to lave my nipple with his tongue.

I couldn’t hold back a moan when he sucked on my nipple and then, bit it gently. That sent sparks of desire streaking down my body, straight to the core of me.

“Leo,” I moaned.

“What do you want?” he asked gruffly.

“More,” I panted.

He kissed me again as he carried me off the table. I wound my legs around his hips and held on tightly as he began to walk to the door.

“Where are you going?” I asked in confusion.

“Bedroom,” he replied shortly. “I don’t want the staff walking in on us.”

A cold wave of shame swept over me at the thought of Ramsay or any other staff seeing us in this state. What the hell was I thinking? I worked for Leo’s family. Even if he wasn’t my direct boss, I was his family’s employee. What would Ramsay think if he saw me sleeping with the boss? What would Fee think? Or Leo’s brothers?

They had all been very kind to me, but I didn’t think they’d respect me much if they found out what I was up to. And Maddie. Ohmigod, Maddie! What if she saw us? What if she needed me at night and I didn’t go to her because I was with Leo? What if she found me in his bed?

I froze against Leo’s body and he stopped in his tracks.

“What’s wrong?” he asked softly.

I allowed my hair to fall ahead, covering part of my face, and refusing to meet his eyes.

“Please put me down,” I said hesitantly. “I’m sorry, but you were right. This is not a good idea.”

Leo set me down immediately and took a step back.

“What’s… umm… what happened? To make you change your mind, that is. It’s okay for you to change your mind,” he clarified. “I just want to know if I did something wrong.”

I shook my head and blinked back the tears that sprang to my eyes.

“No! It’s not your fault at all, Leo. I just realized how it would look to the others if they found out we were sleeping together. We can’t let anyone know we’re doing it, and I don’t think I’d like sneaking into your bed behind everyone’s backs like a dirty little secret.
