ONE, MAYBE TWO, HOURS LATER, Xolani’s bladder woke her up. She found herself wrapped in Barry’s arms as he spooned her from behind. His breath ruffled the hairs at her nape as he exhaled and inhaled deeply.

When she opened her eyes, she was momentarily blinded by the bright sunlight beaming into the room through the large windows. For a second, she thought that she’d slept through Sunday and woken up on Monday morning. However, the digital clock on the nightstand said that it was three in the afternoon.

It was still Sunday.

Trying hard not to wake Barry, she pushed the covers off her body then lifted his arm from her waist and set it to the side of his body. However, when she tried to sit up, he grabbed her wrist.

“Where are you going?” he rasped groggily.

She turned to find him watching her with hooded eyes that were shadowed with sleep. She said, “To the bathroom.”

“Will you come back?” he asked.

“Yes.” She nodded.

“Then go.” He loosened his grip on her wrist. However, when she swung her feet off the bed and sat up, he sat up too. He wrapped his arms around her from behind and set his chin on her shoulder. He murmured, “Don’t run away.”

The thought hadn’t even crossed her mind. With a smile, she reached behind her to pat his hair. “I won’t.”

Xolani had no real issues with her body, but the thought of walking around naked in front of Barry made her uncharacteristically self-conscious. In the throes of passion, how she looked didn’t matter, but now that reason was back in the game, she couldn’t help but worry.

What if her breasts were not big enough for him? What if she was too thin for his taste? What if her ass wasn’t voluptuous enough? What if he didn’t like what she had to offer?

Unfortunately, her clothes were nowhere to be seen, and there was nothing else for her to cover herself with.

Despite her awkwardness, she forced herself to stand. Behind her, Barry drew a sharp breath. Hopefully, it was because he liked what he saw. But she was too shy to look back and confirm for herself. Stoically, she started moving.

Hours ago, Xolani had been too ‘preoccupied’ to fully appreciate Barry’s bedroom. Like the rest of the house, it was quite large, spacious, and well lit. His black, king-size bed took up a lot of space but there was still a room for a long nightstand on either side of the bed, an ottoman at the foot of the bed, and a divider wall that boasted a large TV.

The divider wall had archways on both sides.

Xolani walked through one archway to find herself in a space that acted as both his closet and a connecting hallway to the bathroom. She headed straight to the bathroom and closed the door behind her.

It took just a few minutes for her to finish her business. After washing her hands, she grabbed a large towel and wrapped it around her body.

But that towel didn’t stay on her for long.
