Above you see my medical kit for most trips. Starting clockwise from top left you first see an old plastic film can with 4-5 meters/yards of inelastic sports tape wrapped around it. Then some pain killer pills and some stoppers for the tummy wrapped in plastic and a couple of plasters for minor cuts and scratches. If hard trails or road travel is part of the trip I also pack some type of ‘second skin’ blister treatment, like Compeed. Most of this goes inside the plastic film can and then into a ziploc bag.

For longer trips, especially in remote areas many days from people or their artifacts, I bring some antibiotics and heavy bandaging and some other stuff that can stop major bleeding, should this occur. Thankfully it never has.
