CHAPTER 12

Soraiya could have sworn her heart missed a beat when Zak brought their joined hands to his lips and kissed her knuckles, one at a time. The feel of his warm breath against her skin sent shivers coursing through her body. He slipped his other hand around her waist and drew her closer to him.

He inhaled deeply. “You smell divine.”

“Perfume. French. It’s…” But, even though she wore it every day, for the life of her, she couldn’t remember what it was called.

“Your scent,” he said, looking down as he trailed his finger over the tops of her breasts before rising to her neck and lips, “is a combination of your perfume and you.” He dipped his head and kissed her neck before taking another deep breath. “It’s the smell of your skin, your sweat⁠—”

“I don’t sweat,” she protested weakly. “Well, not much.”

She felt his lips move into a smile against her neck and jaw as he continued his exploration upward.

“And your very essence,” he continued, before kissing her softly on the lips. As he drew away, she moved toward him, not wanting those lips to leave her. He was like a drug to her already. She knew the pleasures he could bring her, and she wanted them now.

He stepped away and guided her into the bedroom. She’d left the side lights on from earlier and it was a scene perfectly ready for seduction.

“Now,” he said, allow me.

She did not know what she was allowing him, but stood stock still while he slipped her jacket from her shoulders. It fell on the floor behind her, and he kissed her naked shoulder. Then he walked behind her, slipped the straps from her shoulders and drew down the zip, his finger tracing the long arch of her back. Goosebumps bloomed in its wake.

He pushed her gown off her shoulders, and it slithered around her feet. She stepped out of it, wearing only panties and shoes, and stood before him.

“Take them off,” he murmured, crossing his arms to watch.

She thought in that moment she’d have done anything for him, and she did as he asked. The shoes she left on. She imagined his command was for her panties only.

He stepped forward, and she felt weak under his gaze as it swept her body. He kissed her harder than he’d kissed her before and she responded in like. She adored the feel of his tongue against hers and the shivers of delight which ran through her body, intensifying deep inside of her, where the passion, aroused, throbbed and melted, as her body readied itself for him.

He groaned and pressed against her, so she could feel his erection, and she gasped, suddenly nervous. She had no means of judging his size, but he didn’t feel small and she’d never had sex before. She was suddenly scared he would be too big for her.

He pulled back, pushing away the hair which framed her face and shoulders, before it snaked down her back, tickling her bottom. “Don’t be scared.
