Chapter Fourteen

Sarah was debating a nap while Scoop drove. They’d stopped at a couple of outdoor flea markets and walked a lot. They’d stayed up late last night watching a movie and messing around, and she was dragging today.

They had a couple more hours before they reached where they were staying tonight. They had a couple activities near the hotel they’d talked about but hadn’t decided on.

Her watch went off with a Code Ross followed by a text requesting Sarah immediately download the footage from inside the range and the outdoor cameras from fifteen minutes ago to current. Copies to be sent to Beth, Jesse, and Ellie.

“Code Ross. Isn’t that everything’s not alright and help is needed?”

Sarah grabbed her computer and opened it up. “Yes. I need a strong signal, so can you exit at the gas station?”

Scoop flicked his blinker on and exited. Sarah waited for her computer to boot up.

When Scoop pulled over and parked, Sarah brought out her mobile hotspot and pulled up the footage from the range. She could have done it on the road, but the mobile hotspot worked a little better if they were sitting in place. She went back fifteen minutes, then watched to make sure she had what they were talking about. She didn’t see anyone breaking into the range, so she continued scanning until she saw a body and paused.

Was that Flick running around the range with only his boots on? Where the heck were the rest of his clothes and wasn’t that freaking uncomfortable having his dick bounce? Then Cannon, the two guys who picked up the Blazer, and Roam came running around the building.

Scoop leaned over her shoulder. “What the hell is happening while we’re away?”

“I don’t know.” Sarah watched the rest of the footage showing the guys going back into the range and chatting but not getting dressed. Then the door opened, and Beth, Jesse, and Ellie walked in. The guys immediately put their hands down to cover themselves, and Cannon directed them to leave.

Beth shook her head no, then leaned over the counter and grabbed the computer that the range used to monitor the cameras. They ran out of the range, jumping in the car with Cannon chasing them while they drove away.

Sarah copied the video and sent it to Ellie and all her sisters, then sent one to her special place.

“Hey, you’re not going to give them a copy, are you?”

Scoop’s voice was a little irate. She’d always have her sisters’ backs unless it conflicted with her man. This didn’t conflict at all.

“Of course I am. Why wouldn’t I?”

“Well, because Cannon didn’t want them to have it.”

“He may not have wanted them to, but he, as well as all the guys, know we have video surveillance all over that place. If they didn’t want video, they could have turned off the cameras. They streaked all around the range during the day. If they’re going to be stupid, then they can live with the consequences.”

Sarah waited while Scoop stared at her.
