Earlier that evening

One good thing about having hackers on your payroll is that they can get into just about anything. Scaren stared at the information on the desk. So that black Dodge Ram truck belonged to a former Marine. At least the minion he’d sent to follow Anne Hamilton and her tall friend today had gotten the license tag number right. Lt. Keith MacFarlane, USMC, retired almost two years ago. Scaren’s hacker was still trying to learn just what MacFarlane had been doing since then and where he’d been doing it.

But in the meantime, Scaren needed to finalize the plans for getting that extraordinarily beautiful girl here from Charlotte to add to the “pretty six” as he called them to finish the order from that group in Atlanta. When The Cadre paid him the second half of the money for the kids, The Sons of the Smoky Mountains would return the favor and purchase all the guns they needed and could move to the next phase.

But even before that, he would kill Anne Hamilton and Keith MacFarlane both. And he would enjoy doing it.

Because no one stopped Scaren. No one.
