Creators who want to access the audiences of multiple crowdfunding platforms should do their campaigns one after the other, instead of both at the same time.
How To Make The Choice
Having evaluated the different crowdfunding platform choices and what they each offer, you now need to arrive at a final decision. Here is how I suggest choosing your platform:
There are some definite pass/fail tests which might rule out one of the platforms. For instance, you might be located in a country which certain platforms do not support, meaning they can be eliminated from your analysis immediately.
Next, ask whether any of the platform features are must-haves from your perspective. If you absolutely need to keep whatever money you raise whether or not you reach your funding goal, then this will narrow down your choice because some platforms do not allow flexible funding goals.
If the decision is still unclear, look for the platform with the highest success rate for projects which resemble yours, in terms of type of project and amount of funds raised. If there is no obvious winner on which platform has historically hosted the most similar campaigns to what you have in mind, then the platform with the largest overall audience will probably be best.
