Later, while examining the Equalists’ flyers more closely, hoping to find a clue to where the Chi-blockers might have taken Bolin, Korra and Mako discovered they could put them together to form a map of Republic City. The map pinpointed the location of the Equalist Revelation scheduled to take place that night.

At the appointed time, Mako and Korra walked toward the place indicated on the map. It turned out to be a large factory building located in the industrial quarter among warehouses and power plants. Korra had put together a disguise of an old coat and a moth-eaten hat. Mako turned up the collar of his jacket and pulled a cap down over his eyes on the off chance that he might be recognized, too.

As they walked toward the factory entrance, they noticed a guard standing in front of the door. Korra took Mako’s arm and drew him close to her side. She felt him stiffen in surprise.

“What are you doing?” he asked, his ears growing hot.

“We’ll attract less attention this way,” Korra whispered. “Just play along.”

They walked up to the thuggish guard, who promptly informed them that it was a private event. “No one gets in without an invitation.”

“Invitation?” Korra asked innocently.

Mako shoved his hands into the pockets of his coat. He retrieved a copy of the Equalists’ flyer and presented it to the guard. The guard’s grim countenance took on a small degree of human warmth and he stepped aside.

“Welcome to the Revelation, my brother and sister.”
